Good Food for sure, mostly set up for carry out, seating is limited. Service is average.
Last night was my first time trying Golden Cheng. Putting my order in over the phone was easy and upon arrival the gentleman at the front counter was a delight. Everything was absolutely delicious, well proportioned and a great price in my option! If you're looking for a regular take out spot, I highly recommend Golden Cheng!
My family loves the Golden Cheng! We order here once a week! Always yummy food and excellent service! I love the mom who is the owner! She's always so sweet and kind!
The whole family loves this place! We get takeout from here more often than I'd like to admit it's definitely the best Chinese in the whole area. We love their Mongolian chicken, the sweet and sour chicken, general Tsos and their egg rolls are to die for!! Everything is always delicious and so well made and they're FAST! Food is almost always ready 15-20 minutes after calling it in! The staff is also very sweet and it's always a pleasure going in. Honestly can't say enough good things about golden Cheng!

This is the best Chinese/Asian food in Jefferson County period. I have lived here in Carthage for 4 months after coming here from Korea. The food here is REALLY GOOD. Anyone on post or in Watertown take the drive over and get the best around Fort Drum
My husband was stationed at Ft. Drum from 2002-2005, and we lived in Carthage during that time. We used to get takeout from Golden Cheng all the time. Probably more often than we should have haha....it was always delicious and plentiful. Fast forward to 2021, and we returned to show our kids the old stomping grounds. We were floored (in the best way) to see our old favorite is still around! And it's still delicious and still plentiful. The fried dumplings are seriously my favorite--anywhere, ever. We've been moved all over the world since then; no dumplings have ever been as tasty as these dumplings. It was and still is a little hole-in-the-wall place. It doesn't look fancy or expensive. But it's so worth a stop. I hope if I come back in another 16 years, it'll still be around!

Maybe temper expectations after you read this, but if you're looking for good Chinese food in the greater Fort Drum area...this is it! Service is excellent, the shop is small so don't expect to have a sit down meal, but this is easily the best Chinese takeout in NNY
